4 hot spots to invest in Bali

Articles 4 hot spots Bali

“Travel of the future will be one of sharing and meeting people”.

This sentence by Olivier Jolivet, Chairman and CEO of the Como Group, specialising in luxury goods, in a very recent article in Forbes magazine sounds like obvious when it comes to Bali.

Sharing, smiling, kindness, a definition of Bali.

This is one of the many reasons why wise investors have been investing part of their capital in real estate on the Island of Gods for many years.

As you know, our main mission at Tropic Invest is to help investors and developers find the best opportunities offered by the Indonesian property market, and especially Bali.

Canggu

In a few years, Canggu replaced Seminyak as the hottest destination in Bali. The area gathers expats, digital nomads and wealthy tourists looking for private luxury and less crowded places than in Kuta or Seminyak.

Located in the south-west of Bali, about 35 minutes from the airport, the area is ideally located to start or end your trip in Bali. From there you can easily reach Tanah Lot, Kuta, Legian or Seminyak, as well as the interior of the island (Ubud with its rice fields and temples for instance) by car or by scooter.

Its beaches and surf spots (Echo Beach, Batu Bolong, or Berawa) are among the most popular on the island and therefore attract many surfers and tourists.

Canggu is also a trendy and growing area where you can find hundreds of restaurants, bars and clubs only minutes away from your villa or hotel. And within a 2 km radius you will find a waterpark, a bowling alley, a football field, an equestrian center, international schools and many yoga centers and gyms.

For all these reasons, a property in Canggu is a guarantee for owners to have a lucrative return on investment for many years to come.

Canggu growth per year, according to AirBnb data since 2017 (not incl Covid):

  • +6% Daily rates
  • +15% Occupancy
  • +21% Revenue
  • +84% Demand

Uluwatu

Uluwatu is located on the Bukit Peninsula where you will find one of the most famous surf spots in the world, the Blue Point Beach, also known as Uluwatu Beach.

This spot is also a very picturesque natural site between limestone cliffs and caves, which is a must-see when passing through the area.

The Bukit Peninsula is located at the southern end of the island of Bali. Unlike much of the rest of the island, the area has beaches with cliffs and high views from an incredible perspective.

The last few years, the Indonesian government has encouraged the development of the area with new infrastructures and high-end tourist facilities. Investing in a property in Uluwatu is thus the assurance of being able to rent it to an upmarket clientele, who will appreciate the very special atmosphere of the southern peninsula.

Sidemen

“The most beautiful rice fields of Bali are in Sidemen”.

Sidemen is a unique place, one of Bali’s most beautiful secret spots. Located in the heart of Bali, 90 minutes from the International airport, the area allows visitors to experience the authentic Balinese lifestyle.

Little traffic, less touristy than Ubud, rice fields as far as the eye can see, incredible views of Mount Agun, Sidemen plunges you into the heart of the Balinese culture and tradition.

It became a place many investors are starting to look at, because of its potential for tourism, for people who wish to exit the busyness of the West coast of Bali.

Lembongan

In the last few years, Lembongan Island (and its sisters Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida) became one of Bali’s most popular attractions. And a unique location praised by investors.

A few minutes away from a blue lagoon, most Instagrammable virgin beaches of Indonesia, and world-renowned surf and diving spots (Manta rays, Mola-Mola.. etc), Nusa Lembongan is also well known for its trendy restaurants, bars and beach clubs attracting most of the Asian celebrities & worldwide travelers. The encounter of Tulum, Ibiza and Mykonos, only 15 minutes from Bali.

  • 15 minutes from Bali by boat
  • A comfortable and developed but authentic area: many restaurants and bars in Jungutbatu, near the beach where the boats dock
  • Incredible surf spots, white sandy beaches, mangrove forest, sunsets and a blue lagoon
  • 24/7 medical facilities
  • Connections to the Gili and Lombok islands
